Prayers and Praises for Poseidon [D1, Noon, Open]

"Of course, Kraag. I'd be happy to bless the a pouch of salt for you after such a generous and humble offering."

He lead the half orc to an altar of the sea god, and motioned for him to set the cask before the statue. The priest lifted his hands ceremoniously after taking a scoop of salt into his hands, tossing it gently towards the altar.

"Holy Neptune, Great Poseidon, Lord of the Seas. We beseech you to take this offering of wine; that you bless this man on his travels across your great dominion." The priest took another scoop of salt, pouring it into a small cloth pouch. "And that you bless this sea salt. be ever with him on his journey; let him ever taste salt upon the wind."

After setting the cask before the statue, Kragg takes his bandanna off and kneels before the altar as the young priest does the offerings and blessings, waiting patiently for him to finish. Part of him wonders if Poseidon would even accept the wine or even bless the salt from wherever the god is if he's not even at his abode beneath the sea. But then again, he didn't know much about religion and gods, difficult things like that were not his to ponder. And so he waits patiently.

The priest begins to say a few brief chants in an odd tongue, before passing the salt off to the half-orc.

"It has been done, friend. Neptune is with you."

Kragg accepts the pouch of salt and bows towards the young priest. "Thank ye kindly, young priest of Neptune. May ye ever taste salt upon the wind."

"You as well. Should you ever need to offer any further prayers, we are at your service."

Kragg nods, places his bandanna back on, pockets the pouch of purified salt, then makes his way out of the Temple of Poseidon. Once outside, he takes a deep breath.

"What've ye gotten yerself into, Kragg..." he mutters to himself. He glances around the temple district, then begins heading out back towards the Rosemaker's Pub. He was going to need time to ponder all this. Time, and a lot of drinks.
