Syreskala is approaching the big city of Larendar, after many days of travel from his Dionan homeland. As he closes in, with his equipment stored, the dragonborn appreciates the nice view in the area.

The ex-soldier has been travelling through forests for days, and getting to the the plains, and even farms, is a good change of pace.

The Sun is almost at its peak, as the black dragonborn keeps walking through the road.

Ahead along the path is a man-shaped thing, clad from head to toe in silver plate armor, carrying a large pack of gear along his back. A shield hangs lazily from his left arm as he makes his way slowly towards the town.

The curious dragonborn approaches, not having seen anyone other than farmers along these trails for a long time. He instantly notices holy symbols engraved on the man's gear. The dragonborn tidies up,
and gets even closer to try to talk with the figure
"Good morning, sir. I assume you're heading towards Larendar?"

The helmet turns, and nods. "Ah, good morn to you, fair Dionan. I am, in fact, traveling there. I have never been, and thought it time to rectify this. Are you traveling alone?"

"Unfortunately. The day has long come for me to see the world, and this might be one of my last stops in this adventure. For now, at least. I may try to get back into a guard over here. I heard the people value my kind's strength."

"It is rare to see a Dionan anywhere in Larendar, though I've heard stories that there are others like yourself in the capital. I believe they have an embassy? I could be wrong, of course." He takes a moment, and lifts the helmet off, revealing a somewhat scruffy-looking man with black hair, who offers a handshake.

"I am Sigismund. And you, friend?"

"My name would be Syreskala. Not a noble, though. Just my name. Nice to meet you. About the embassy, I had never heard of it, but might just visit." He pauses and thinks a little bit. "I noticed your clothing. Would you happen to be a soldier, as well?"

"I was meant to be, but then life had other plans," he smiles warmly. "I am no noble either, but a Paladin of the people. But I suppose in a sense, I am still very much a soldier. We just fight very different battles."

"You seem like a nice man. I hope that if it comes the time for me to fight again, it's by the side of someone like you." Syreskala then looks up at the Sun. "Man, it sure is hot for the morning. I guess the trees back there made it a little cooler."

"If you can believe it, it's even worse by the coast," he chuckles. "The heat sticks to everything over there - even the shade is no reprieve. As I recall, your homeland is rather cold, is it not?"

Slightly further up ahead is a dwarf. He's got a pack on his back, with what looks like musical instruments. And a spear. His attire is colorful, theatrical even, and he seems to be having a drink while taking in the scenery along the road.

"It would seem that this road becomes quite busy the closer we come to the capital," Sigismund notes, pausing their conversation to greet the dwarf. "Well met, fellow traveler! Are you too heading to Larendar this day?"

"Oh wow. In less than an hour, I have met more people than in seven days. I wonder who that is"

Giorg turns in the direction of the voice. He turns to the paladin, then the dragonborn.

"Aye, 'tis a fine day!" he says, smiling. "And aye again, to Larendar my feet are taking me. The road's been a might lonely for most the trip, though."

"We were just speaking of something similar, friend. Sigismund is my name. Would you care to join us?"

Sigismund smiles, pleased to have some company for once. "Excellent. Have you been long on the road? My friend and I were just talking about how we've been traveling for quite some time on our own."

He then turns back to the paladin. "A few days. Not another soul until you two. I was starting to think I was on the wrong road, truly."

He glances around. "We be on the right road, aye?"

"I certainly hope so. If not, then certainly it must be some great joke of the gods that we three meet on the same road, set for the same destination."

"I'd certainly travel back and make sure the person who told me this is the way learns, if this road is not correct. But even so, meeting you must have a reason, as our friend here said."

"So what brings you both to Larendar City, if I may ask? I will confess, mine is more curiosity than anything else, as I've never been to the capital before."
